At Apollo Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning, we practice trenchless services that allow us to rehabilitate pipes from the inside. Whether the pipes beneath your home or business in Oregon or Washington are burst or flooding, we have the methods and equipment needed to mitigate damage and replace the pipes quickly.

    Underground Services

Pipe replacements were traditionally processes associated with heavy excavation efforts that could require weeks to plow and dig before any repairs could be made. Fortunately, trenchless technology allows us to bypass these inconvenient steps in favor of better, more reliable, and fast solutions.

At Apollo Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning, we specialize in mechanical, processing, and plumbing services, including sewer hookups, line repairs, trenchless pipe repairs, and sewer line replacements with full-service excavation. In most cases, our professional service teams can even replace sewer lines while avoiding underground hazards and damage to your property.

Our sewer inspection team can also help detect leaks in underground water lines, preventing water buildup around your home and increasing water bills. Our teams use advanced video cameras to pinpoint leaks in your system, allowing us to provide you with accurate, cost-efficient solutions. Once we have the results, our solutions will depend on the results of our inspection, but we guarantee that our work will be able to address the problem.

Bore installations, also known as directional drilling, allow us to replace pipelines without digging trenches into the ground. This process utilizes horizontal drilling machines to drill a pilot hole for the new pipeline to be installed while avoiding underground hazards and creating minimal damage to properties. Depending on what is needed, the boring head can be up to double the size of the faulty pipe to create an effective amount of space.

After the hole has been drilled, the new pipe is pulled through it and installed. Specialized drilling fluids in the process stabilize the surrounding soil and ensure that it doesn’t shift following the installation of the pipe.

Initially used in the 1980s to replace gas distribution lines, pipe bursting today is widely considered to be an effective method for replacing a wide array of pipelines and a multitude of functions, including pipelines for water, gas, and sewage needs.

As a result, trenchless pipe bursting is the process of replacing existing pipelines without needing to physically remove those pipelines. It’s used most frequently with exceptionally brittle pipes, such as those made from clay or concrete, but can be applied to a diversity of sizes, materials, and uses. Bursting can also be utilized to increase the size of pipelines, improving water flow and pressure. This makes the process very flexible and reliable, ensuring that repairs can be done no matter what the problem may be or how severe it is.

This method of repair involves splitting apart the former, damaged pipe and inserting a new one in its place. This option requires little excavation, and our service professionals will need to establish two separate connection points to the pipe.

Through one access point, our cone-shaped bursting head is inserted into the existing pipeline. The bursting head’s diameter is larger than the pipeline’s diameter, allowing it to effectively break it apart.

The bursting head is forced through the pipe, and the extra pressure on the host pipe will cause it to split open and fragment the old pipe. This allows the bursting head to create space for the new pipeline we install to fill.

Immediately following the bursting head, the new high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe is simultaneously pulled into the cavity, filling the new space. Once the HDPE pipe is in place, the two access points are filled.

The pipe bursting process is eco-friendly because it doesn’t require invasive digging.

This allows the repair process to be faster, and with the installation of the powerful and durable HDPE pipe, we can guarantee that the results will be long-lasting, in addition to having many other benefits, including:
    • Resistant to chemicals
    • The plastic materials are recyclable
    • Lightweight material, easy to work with and mold
    • A durable plastic that lasts many years, resistant to leaks and cracks
      Weather resistant

At Apollo Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning, our trenchless solutions have been innovated over many years of research and implementation. Our service professionals are well-trained and will recommend the best solution for the problem at hand. All of our services are specialized for a variety of applications and utilities across Oregon and Washington, and we are proud to offer our services to residents and business owners in need of fast and punctual repair work.

While our team is primarily experienced with installing new sewer pipelines and water lines, we also assist our customers across the Oregon and Washington areas with electrical and communication conduits. Also installed underground, we are comfortable with the terrain and weather of the region to ensure that any renovations or installation work that we do with electrical cables is careful and precise. Conduits are piping systems for routing electrical wiring. Commercial and industrial businesses need a constant flow of electrical energy. Metal and non-metal (PVC or plastic tubing) – and flexible underground pipes – protect valuable energy currents as they pass from panel boxes and breakers to lights and fixtures.

If you’re renovating your home and need the electrical system to be rerouted or if the cable lines at your business need to be better protected and cared for, we will have the recommendations and equipment needed to get the job done. We understand how important it is to work carefully and precisely with electrical systems, and our high-quality installation and repair work is reflective of this.
