Over the past few decades, technological advances in the plumbing industry have revolutionized the way we do business. Now, an innovative plumbing technique called trenchless sewer pipe relining has made messy, lengthy sewer excavations a thing of the past.

Apollo Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning has saved hundreds of customers in the Vancouver community money and time with this minimally intrusive method, which is vastly superior to traditional plumbing repairs.

WHAT IS CURED-IN-PLACE PIPE LINING?

At Apollo Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning, we use a method called cured-in-place pipe lining (CIPP) to repair many different sewer line issues, including cracked and broken pipes. The beauty of the CIPP method is that it rehabilitates damaged sewer pipes from the inside out. Once the lining finishes curing, it forms in a brand-new, high-quality plumbing pipe that resists future damage.

CIPP experts have successfully used this technology to repair sewer pipes up to 96 inches in diameter, so the repair process is suitable for large-diameter municipal sewer lines, in addition to smaller residential sewer lines.

CIPP PIPE REPAIRS ARE DIG-FREE

The best thing about CIPP repairs is that they require almost no digging to complete, which can significantly reduce the amount of property damage associated with large-scale plumbing repairs. CIPP plumbers use a manhole or small access point to enter the sewer line, rather than excavating the entire length of the water main or sewer pipeline. This technique saves property owners time and money on sewer repairs, both on resolving the present issue and in preventing future plumbing problems.

CIPP provides much greater convenience for home and business owners, and our trenchless technicians also prefer it because it allows them to complete repairs in a fraction of the time that a trench would require. Most of our trenchless projects have a turnaround time of 24 hours or even less, even for large-diameter pipes. CIPP projects also use less equipment, giving them a much smaller carbon footprint – which is why we chose to specialize in CIPP, since reducing our carbon footprint and preserving the environment is a high priority for our team.

CIPP LINING IS HIGH-QUALITY AND BUILT TO LAST

The key to CIPP lining being a successful process is a liquid epoxy resin that hardens within the existing, damaged pipe. A CIPP technician will insert resin-saturated liner into the existing pipe, which is then expanded and cured into place by heating the liner. The result is a durable, joint-free, and seamless pipe that can improve water flow and restore normal sewer line function immediately after it dries. The final product is exactly the same as having a brand-new PVC sewer line installed, minus the digging and disruption.

Another huge benefit of CIPP is its durability. The materials used in CIPP plumbing create a new pipe that resists tree root intrusion, weather damage, leaks, cracks, and other types of common sewer line problems. CIPP pipes also last much longer than traditional pipes – many CIPP installations operate problem-free for decades.
